Our aim is to be the fairy godmothers for those amazing doctors, nurses and parents on the Colchester Neonatal Unit and help ‘grant’ any wishes they may have to improve the ward or support staff training to ensure they can be the best they can be!
What Do We Do?
We are hoping to raise funds to support the unit and help ‘grant’ any wishes they may have to improve the ward or support staff training.
Due to the current pandemic, we are limited on what fundraising we can do at the moment, but keep an eye on our Facebook page for upcoming events.
Support Group
Between us all we have a wealth of knowledge and experience of premature births, full term birth following loss, long term oxygen, hernias, NG feeding, PEG feeding, heart issues and the list continues.
We all love a chat and usually one of us is around 24/7 if you ever need to reach out to us.
How you can help us:
There’s lots of ways you can support us, the easiest way to help us is by visiting our Facebook page – Wish upon a Fairy, hitting the like button and sharing our group, this will help by raising awareness and showing support. If you then head over to the community tab, you can invite your friends to join our page.
We are also asking for donations for prizes for our events, we’ve been so lucky with the donations we have received so far which has enabled us to grant our first wish. If this is something you would be able to help us with, we would love to hear from you.
Take part in our events, to win amazing prizes so far we’ve had raffles, guess how many sweeties in the jar and FREE competitions. We aim to hold quizzes, markets and so many more events as soon as possible.
Getting involved is easy, if you want to support us even further, why not hold your own sponsored event, this could be absolutely anything from bike rides, walks, marathons or even a sky dive, the options are endless and you would be supporting our organisation and of course the amazing team at the Unit.
