This year we decided to plan a Christmas party for any parents and families who have had children in the neonatal unit. One of our longer-term plans is to start up support groups where we can host ‘get-togethers’ for any families who have experienced the Neonatal unit, so we can support them in any way possible, let families meet and talk with other parents- including ourselves, who have had similar experiences and also let these more vulnerable babies socialise in a safe environment. It’s something we all know can be very helpful, of course, due to covid restrictions this hasn’t been made possible…yet! So this is a little taster of what’s to come.

For our Christmas party, which was held on 9th December 2021, we hired out a hall in Colchester, we got an amazing entertainer- Boogie Beats, to make sure the children all had loads of fun! We had music, games and party food. It was a really lovely day for all involved. We love meeting new families and can’t wait to do it all again next year! ?
