With Easter fast approaching , we decided to put out a plea for Easter Eggs so we could treat all the staff and families at Colchester NeoNatal unit at Easter time .

In no time at all we had been approached by so many generous people and companies , our aim was to collect enough Eggs to ensure every staff member and all the families of babies in the unit over Easter would get an Easter egg.

In total we managed to collect a massive 266 eggs!! We had so many that not only did all the staff and families get eggs but we delivered a load to the children’s ward at Colchester hospital too!

Along side collecting eggs we also ran an Easter raffle where we sold raffle tickets for the chance to win some amazing Easter egg bundles – we had 6 very happy winners and raised extra money all for Colchester NeoNatal Unit.

Also at the same time we made an Amazon Wishlist in order to try and get lots of supplies – food , snacks and drinks , for the parents who were in the unit, it was even more important to us during this time due to Covid making it so difficult for parents to keep themselves well fed and looked after while being there for their poorly babies . This was extremely successful , we managed to drop off lots of huge food parcels which we were told were very gratefully received by everyone involved.

We will definitely be doing something similar next year and we cannot wait!
