‘Twas the week before Christmas, all was quiet and the unit was twinkling…
Till the Christmas Fairies descended!
We paid a festive visit to the lovely Neonatal Unit on Saturday and dropped off the staff hamper and goodies along with 17 special sparkly gift bags for those little Christmas Puddings in the unit on Christmas Day!
They have Wish upon a Fairy bibs, crochet blanket, a little rattle and a chocolate treat for mum and dad! As well as a little card from us all.
It’s not your typical wish to be in hospital over Christmas so if we can make it even slightly better for anyone with these then that’s a win for us!
We had a lovely comment from one of our followers Chloe Pellis this week who recieved our gifts last year:
‘This brought me so much joy with my NICU baby at Colchester hospital last Christmas. It really wasn’t feeling festive and joyful and seeing “Santa” had been to the hospital gave me the biggest smile. Much love to those in that position this year and well done for your continued lovely work! X’
To say that makes us warm and fuzzy inside is an understatement
