FESTIVE FAIRYLAND 2024 – A Magical Success!
What an absolutely magical day we had at this year’s Festive Fairyland! Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude for everyone who joined us in making this event truly special. We’re thrilled to announce that together, we raised an incredible £2,232.43 for the Colchester Neonatal Unit – a cause that’s so dear to our hearts.
The Greenstead Social Club transformed into a winter wonderland, thanks to their amazing team who created a breathtaking Grotto that left both children and adults in awe. We’re especially grateful to them for generously providing the venue free of charge, allowing us to maximize our fundraising efforts.
Our wonderful stallholders brought such variety and quality to the event, offering everything from handcrafted gifts to festive treats. The marketplace was buzzing with holiday spirit, and the atmosphere was simply electric! Speaking of treats, the food was absolutely divine – our visitors couldn’t stop raving about the delicious offerings available throughout the day.
The star of the show was, of course, Santa himself! He made a very special appearance and spent quality time with each child, carefully noting down their Christmas wishes. The joy on the children’s faces as they met Santa was truly priceless, and it reminded us all of the magic of the season.
None of this would have been possible without our incredible team of volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. From setting up displays to helping with activities, their dedication and enthusiasm made everything run smoothly and created such a warm, welcoming atmosphere for all our visitors.
The funds raised will make a real difference to the Colchester Neonatal Unit, helping them continue their vital work supporting our community’s tiniest patients and their families. We’re humbled by everyone’s generosity and support.
